Chase Anichini (TINA DENMARK), who turned 10 just before opening night, is thrilled to be playing the tap-dancing villain Tina Denmark in Ruthless! The Musical. Chase is a highly energetic 4th grader who has been singing since she could talk and dancing since age 2. She has extensive training in tap, jazz, ballet and rhythmic gymnastics. Her passion for musical theatre was sparked in Annie Jr. (Orphan) in early 2010; later that year she landed her first principal role playing the Stepmother in Disney’s Cinderella Kids. During the past 2 years, she has performed in multiple shows at San Diego Junior Theatre including A Year with Frog & Toad (Flower), Schoolhouse Rock Live! (Little Pearl), and Honk! (Fluff). Chase is an Honor Roll student who loves science and history. Recently, she co-authored Baffle That Bully!, a book for kids about overcoming bullying and believing in yourself. She would like to thank Ms. Chrissy for offering her the role of Tina, her wonderful coaches Ms. Leigh, Ms. Michelle, & Ms. Becky, her parents for encouraging her love of the arts, and her big sister for being such an incredible role model.
Kat Fitzpatrick (LITA ENCORE) Not only is Kat excited to be making her debut performance at the Coronado Playhouse, she is also pleased to be working once again with the wonderful artistic team of Chrissy Burns and Rick Shaffer. Her favorite roles include strong matriarchal characters such as Granny in Pippin and Mae Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie at Pickwick Players, Marian in Swingtime Canteen at OnStage Playhouse, Mette Gauguin in Asian Story Theatre’s original show The Musical Paul Gauguin, and Prudy Pingleton in San Diego REP’s production of Hairspray. She also enjoyed playing the evil Commissioner Doyle in Annie Warbucks at Christian Community Theater (CCT), Ms. Amalgam/Guidance Counselor (the Caterpillar!) in Alice, and Sonia in Godspell, also at CCT. Kat’s regular job is teaching preschool in El Cajon.
Jada Garland (LOUISE LERMAN) is excited to be working on Ruthless! The Musical. This is the first time Jada is working with Coronado Playhouse. She has been in many productions including Ever After a Fractured Fairytale (Stepsister), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Sherry Contrary), Alice in Wonderland (Alice), and will be performing Little Mermaid (Flotsam) in May. Jada would like to thank all the cast and crew for making this production possible. She would also like to thank her family for their love and support.
Danny Ingersoll (SYLVIA ST. CROIX) is happy to be back at the Coronado Playhouse, where he played Julian in 42nd Street and Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone last season. Some of his other favorite roles include Daddy Warbucks in Annie, Buddy in City of Angels, Vittorio in Sweet Charity, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Che in Evita, and The King in The King & I. He has hauled his cookies to the Avo Playhouse, Moonlight Theatre, Starlight Theatre, San Diego Musical Theatre, OnStage Playhouse, Pickwick Players, PowPAC, Patio at Kit Carson, and Lyceum Theatre, but he has a special fondness for the Coronado Playhouse. He would also like to thank the boys at home, Luc and Bert for basically, everything. Also a local REALTOR, he donates a portion of all commissions to the Arts Organization of the client’s choice. It’s a great way to help support Coronado Playhouse, while also having a very positive home buying or selling experience!
Andrekka J. Lanier (MYRNA THORN) is a southern belle implant from Virginia, Marine wife, and mother of three boys. Although she is somewhat new to California, she is no stranger to the stage and was recently featured in Bye Bye Birdie (Pickwick Players). She looks forward to participating in more productions in southern California and refining her acting skillset. She is a licensed social worker and adjunct professor. When off stage, Andrekka enjoys wine tasting, exploring the local community, reading and the occasional nap. This is her first show with Coronado Playhouse, but hopefully not her last.
Sarah Alida LeClair (EVE) studied music performance under Jacalyn Bower-Kreitzer and Mary Mackenzie, stars of the Metropolitan Opera stage, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Music from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Master’s of Music in Vocal Performance from San Diego State University. Other favorite roles include Fred in Once Upon a Mattress, Rosamund in Robber Bridegroom, Miss Hannigan in Annie, and Texas in Cabaret. In the “real world,” Dawn Marie is a Registered Dental Assistant, loving wife to Adriana, and proud mother of Lorelei and Noah.

She was most recently seen in the cast of miXtape, the hit 1980’s musical with Lambs Players at the Horton Grand Theater Downtown. Chrissy also works as a Singing Telegram Specialist and Marilyn Monroe Look-a-Like Entertainer. As the Director and Producer of the Caburlesque Kittens she appears in live Broadway-style Burlesque shows as “Ophelia Kitty” at San Diego’s premiere venues and events. She celebrates every day as a Manager at San Diego’s own 1950’s Disneyland also known as the Corvette Diner. Chrissy also teaches Musical Theater and Voice Lessons at Infinity Dance Arts in El Cajon. She would like to thank Jessica for “the beautiful poetry that is our life.”
Luc R. Pelletier (Producer) is pleased to return to the Coronado Playhouse after producing Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party and 42nd Street, both recipients of Aubrey Awards. He also produced The Crucible (Pickwick Players), and Swingtime Canteen (OnStage Playhouse). Luc received a BSN from Fairfield University and an MSN from Yale University. An advanced practice psychiatric-mental health nurse, he works as an Administrative Liaison at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital. He is thankful to Chrissy for this opportunity and to SMVH colleagues who support this part of his life. “Love to the boys at home, Danny and Bert!”

Rick’s other San Diego theater credits include dozens of musical and dramatic productions for such theatre companies as Pickwick Players, Diversionary Theatre, Scripps Ranch Theatre, OnStage Playhouse, PowPAC, Lamplighters Community Theater, Compass Theatre, and the Honors Theatre Project of the San Diego Unified School District’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts.

In 2008, she opened her own performing arts studio in El Cajon called Infinity Dance Arts (www.infinitydancearts.com). Jenn takes much pride in sharing her knowledge and love of performing with others. She is currently pursuing an extensive certification program through Dance Masters of America, a nationally accredited dance education organization. Jenn is thrilled to be doing another production at Coronado Playhouse.
Billy Stevens (Assistant Director) is proud to be making his Coronado Playhouse directing debut, assisting one of his dearest friends, Chrissy Burns. Captivated by the stage at a young age, Billy enjoys being involved in any aspect of the theater; whether in front of an audience or behind the scenes. “There is something magical about taking a play/musical and bringing it to life for an audience to enjoy and I want to be a part of that magic any way I can.” Billy has spent the last ten years directing over 30 shows and showcases for schools and theater camps around San Diego and doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon. He wishes to thank Chrissy for all the opportunities she has given him and for the talent and creativity she inspires, his friend Melanie for all her support and JD for being his unexpected prize. He dedicates this show to all his friends who have stuck by him this last year and taught him it’s ok to be a little RUTHLESS.
Jacob Koehnen (Stage Manager) is not only a nine year veteran of the local theatre scene, he is also an Eagle Scout and an honors student who is always ready to lend a helping hand. His recent productions include The Crucible for Pickwick Players, Curse of the Starving Class for Triad Productions, A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Coronado Playhouse, and You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown for Scripps Ranch Theatre. Kelly Prow (Lighting Designer) recently graduated with honors from The Art Institute of California San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts and Animation. She is extremely excited to be working with this production group again; it’s a great way to start off the year! Break a leg!
Erica Orr (Properties) is working for the first time at Coronado Playhouse, and she is very excited to be working on this production of Ruthless! The Musical. She recently graduated from San Diego State University with a Theatre Arts degree and immensely enjoys working in the theatre behind and in front of the stage. Erica has worked in many different areas of a theatre production but her specialty lies in scenic and props, and she wouldn’t want it any other way. The theatre allows her to be creative in many different avenues and has always been a part of Erica’s life. It makes her very happy that she can make a career out of one of her life’s passions.
